MISS EMILY J. ADAMS

A resident of Simcoe for more than half a century, Miss Emily Jane Adams, 127 Maple Street, passed away in Hamilton General Hospital Thursday evening, following two weeks' illness, in her 64th year.

Born in Basingstoke, Hampshire, England, Miss Adams was a daughter of the late George Adams and Sarah Ann Loveridge.

She came to Simcoe with her family 56 years ago and had resided here since. Miss Adams, who was a practical nurse, was a member of the Brethren Church.

Her mother predeceased her in 1938  and her father in 1943. She was the first of their children to pass away.

Surviving are three brothers,
William of Davidson, Sask.,
Charles of Simcoe, and Fred of Detroit;
and three sisters, Miss Annie Adams and Mrs. Gertrude Goodlad of Simcoe, and 
Mrs. W. Adams (Florence) of Montreal.

The funeral is being held from the Walsh Funeral Home this afternoon at two o'clock with Mr. McCormack of Tillsonburg and Rev. Norman Pipe of Bethel Baptist Church, Simcoe, officiating. Interment in Oakwood Cemetery.
