Shot Himself.

Caledonia, Ont., May 19 -- John Acker of Port Dover, who had been boarding here at the Campbell House for the last six weeks, shot himself in the head about six o'clock last evening, and died early this morning.

The cause of the suicide is unknown. It is said that he intimated on previous occasion that he would take his own life.

His wife came from Port Dover on the 13th and stayed until the 14th. She wanted him to go home. His children also made trips on the same errand, but he said he was tired of Port Dover. He told his wife, however, that he would go home on Saturday or Monday.
