Died at Scotland

Mr. George F. Mitchell, an old resident of Scotland, died on Sunday evening last very suddenly. About a year ago he suffered a stroke of paralysis.

He was a fine type of an Englishman. He came here from Cornwall and for over 50 years was a prosperous and highly respected resident of Brant and Norfolk counties.

He was one of the pioneer lumber dealers in the county running a mill at Kelvin. He also at one time was interested in a large threshing outfit in the County.

Deceased was a valued member of the Congregational Church, a consistent Conservative, a mason of 40 years standing and a loyal friend at all times.

He was the father of 13 children of whom no fewer than 11, 7 sons and 4 daughters are living and who are worthy descendents. They are: Charles of Simcoe;
William of the Cockshutt Plow Co.;
Claude, traveller for the Cockshutt Plow Co.;
Russell, Scotland; Roy, Scotland; Robert, Waterford;
Vivian, Fort William; Mrs. Dr. Trotter, Buffalo; Mrs. Preston, Mrs. Robinson and Mrs. Bertain, Waterford.
