Wm. A. Miller Dies
at Illinois Home

The many friends of William A. Miller, of Chicago, formerly of this town, learned with regret at the week-end of his death at his home, Parkridge, Ill. on Saturday morning. He was taken ill at St. Petersburg where he usually spent his winters on November 26, and since that time had been seriously ill.

The son of William H. Miller and the grandson of Captain Willet Green Miller, well-known residents of town, deceased spent his boyhood here. He qualified as a teacher, and in the nineties went to Chicago, where he was successful in the Mutual Life Insurance Co.

The possessor of a genial and charming manner, Mr. Miller made many friends and never forgot his home town making visits here at least twice a year, staying with his aunts, Miss Phoebe A. Miller and Mrs. D. Lundy Jackson. Surviving him are his wife, the former Miss Maude Eastman of Chicago, a son, Willett Green Miller, his partner in business, and one granddaughter, Eileen Miller.

Interment is taking place at Chicago.

The grandfather of deceased, Captain Willett Green Miller, lived in Simcoe for a great many years, dying here a quarter century ago in his 100th year. He was a prominent citizen in his time. Another grandson of the aged gentleman was the late Dr. Willett Green Miller, provincial geologist, who died several years ago, and who was therefore a cousin of the subject of this sketch.
