The
annual meeting of the members of the Mechanics' Institute was held on
Monday evening in the Reading Room. There was a fair turn-out of
members and the financial standing of the institution was shown by the
officers to be good.
Miss Armstrong and Mr. J. A. Dease were
re-elected President and Treasurer, respectively, and Mr. J. L. Buck
Secretary, Miss Wood Librarian, and the officers with Mr. F. H. Pearsall,
H. P. Ostrosser and Jos. Biddle were appointed as directors for the ensuing
year.....
