Death of Wm. McKerlie

We regret to record the death of an old and respected resident of Townsend in the person of Mr. Wm. McKerlie, who died at the residence of his son, Mr. Arthur McKerlie, Vanessa.

Mr. McKerlie was taken sick while going to Hamilton to visit relatives. He returned home and after two weeks illness passed away on Monday.

The funeral took place yesterday, services and interment being held at Round Plains.

He leaves three sons and four daughters: Arthur, Walter, Haggai, Mrs. Mary Lounsberry of Lounsberry, N.Y., Mrs. Wesley Serles, Brantford, Mrs. Wm. Ball, Vanessa, and Miss Vina McKerlie, Simcoe.
