Mrs. Emil Schellberg

A resident of Simcoe for more than 40 years, Ellen Jane McCafferty, widow of Emil Schellberg, passed away suddenly Tuesday morning at her home 107 Queen Street north, in her 80th year, following a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Schellberg was born in Charlotteville Township, June 10, 1862, the daughter of the late Michael and Mary McCafferty, pioneer settlers of Norfolk County.

She was highly respected by a large circle of friends in Simcoe, where she had lived for so many years. She is survived by two brothers, Col. J. J. McCafferty of St. Louis, Mo., and Hugh McCafferty of Simcoe.

The funeral was conducted from her late residence this morning to St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church where Requiem Mass was sung at ten o'clock. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Windham Township.
