Robert Y. Mabee

The late Mr. Robert Young Mabee, whose death, at the age of 59, is announced as having occurred at Magrath, Alberta, was for many years engaged as grain merchant in Vittoria, and moved to Toronto about four years ago.

His family was among the first to settle in Norfolk County, where Mr. Mabee himself was born.

A few weeks ago he left Toronto with his son, Ernest, to pay a visit to another son, Mr. R. S. Mabee, of Magrath, Alberta, and while there was taken ill.

At the same time a telegraphic message was sent to Mr. Ernest Mabee, recalling him on account of the illness of a daughter, while Dr. Oliver Mabee, another son, went out to look after, and was with him when he died.

Besides the three sons mentioned, three daughters and Mrs. Mabee survive. Mrs. Mabee was Miss Elonora Raymond, of Vittoria, when she married Mr. Mabee.

The funeral took place in Toronto on Saturday afternoon.
