The Late Mrs. John Loftus

Mrs. John Loftus, an old and highly respected resident of Windham, was called to her reward on Friday morning, May 12th, at the ripe old age of 78 years.

Mrs. Loftus was been seriously ill for the past three weeks, which was borne with Christian patience.

This is the third death in the Loftus family in three years -- three years ago her aged husband, last year the youngest son Joseph, and now the mother.

The funeral took place on Monday morning from her late residence to the Roman Catholic church at LaSalette, of which the deceased has been an ardent member of over 60 years.

High mass was celebrated for the repose of her soul by Rev. Fr. Brennan.

There is left to mourn the death of a loving mother, four sons and one daughter: William of St. Thomas, John of Niagara Falls, Jarus and Michael at home; and Mrs. Frank McNally of Otterville.

The family have the sympathy of the community in their bereavement.
