Mrs. H. P. Innes, Sr.

Mrs. Mabel Margaret Innes, widow of Judge Hugh Patterson Innes, of 1290 Minaki Road, Port Credit, formerly of Simcoe, died Saturday at The Pines Private Hospital, Clarkson, following a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Innes, who was 91, a daughter of the late Judge Robert T. Livingstone and Annie Menzie, was born in Simcoe. She attended Simcoe schools and Alma College and became a registered nurse after training at Brooklyn (N.Y.) General Hospital.

She spent most of her life in Simcoe until 10 years ago when she moved to Port Credit.

Mrs. Innes was the oldest member of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church and formerly active in women's organizations of the church. She was a former member of Governor Simcoe Chapter IODE.

Surviving are three sons, H. P. Innes, QC, of Simcoe, 
R. T. L. Innes, QC, of Brantford, and James S. Innes of Toronto; five daughters, Margaret, Mrs. Paul Donly of Simcoe, 
Helen, Mrs. Clarence J. Henry of Rochester, N.Y., 
Constance, Mrs. H. F. Smith of Hamilton, 
Grace, Mrs. Hugh Plaxton, and 
Edith, Mrs. E. A. Robinson, both of Port Credit; 
one sister, Grace, Mrs. Arthur Jackson of Port Arthur, 
19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. 
Her husband, Judge Hugh Paterson [sic] Innes, died in 1931.

Service was conducted from the Marvyn M. Veale Funeral Home this afternoon with Rev. D. C. MacDonald of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church officiating and interment in Oakwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons, John Donly, Monte Innes,
Robert Innes, Dana Smith, Paul Smith and Michael Innes.
