New Secretary of Town Planning Commission

Under the above caption the Calgary Herald of February 17 has the following to say about one of Simcoe's former boys -- Mr. Wray Lemon -- who went to that city about a year ago.

"Mr. G. Wray Lemon was appointed to the above position last night. He is a former newspaper man, who has served on the Buffalo Express and the Toronto Telegram. On both these papers he specialized on commercial and civic subjects, and was regarded as a warm supporter of all movements looking to the betterment of urban life. Before entering the field of journalism, Mr. Lemon spent seven years in the retail and wholesale dry goods business in Toronto and Buffalo. His recommendations included one from
the former secretary of the Chamber of Commerce in Buffalo, N.Y.,
the secretary of the Board of Trade, in Toronto,
the cashier of the Marine National Bank at Buffalo,
the chief librarian of the Toronto Public Library, and
Rev. G. W. Kerby, Principal of Mount Royal College."
