The death of Mrs.
Darius Lefler occurred on Wednesday, Sept. 8th, at the residence of her
son, Mr. Isaiah Lefler. Deceased was sick but two or three days. The
funeral took place to Greenwood cemetery on Friday last, Rev. A. Slaght
officiating.
Mrs. Lefler came to this country
in a sail boat from England over 48 years ago and settled in Waterford,
where she has lived ever since, being 64 years of age at the time of her
death.
She was married twice. By her first husband she has one
son, Mr. Wm. Mace, who is now living in this place. She also has two
sons and one daughter living, viz: Isaiah Lefler, Isaac Lefler and Mrs.
Edward Glover. There are also two sons and one daughter dead.
