An unedited transcription of a page 1 obituary from 26 Oct 1910 British Canadian. The same obituary appeared on page 1 of the 20 Oct 1910 issue of the Waterford Star newspaper.
[Transcriber's Comment: The death announcement spelled this surname Johnston. The obituary spelled it Johnson. His cemetery stone and that of his daughter Mrs. John A. Harris spell the surname Johnston.]

The death occurred at Boston, Townsend, on Wednesday, October 5th, 1910, of Mr. Thomas H. Johnson, aged 62 years.

He was one of Townsend's most progressing farmers since 1876, having moved there from Burford, where he was born.

He was married 36 years ago to Amanda T. McInally, and to them was born two sons and two daughters, Russell, Frank, Mrs. John Harris and Mary.

Deceased had been declining for five or six years, but was only seriously ill about three weeks.

He was a member of the Boston Baptist Church and also of Court Boston, C. O. F. Among the beautiful floral offerings was a wreath from the C. O. F.

The funeral, which was held Friday, October 7th, was largely attended by sympathizing friends. Services were conducted by Rev. D. D. Burtch, assisted by Rev. S. G. Harris.
