An abridged transcription of a page 1 obituary from 14 Nov 1912 Simcoe Reformer.

The Late Mrs. Calista Jamieson

The death of Calista Whitehead, wife of John Jamieson, on October 24th [sic], 1912, was an unexpected event to those who knew of her many years of suffering, and deeply deplored by all those who knew of the pleasant smile and the estimable qualities of the deceased.

Positive, kind, and generous, she was one whom to know was to believe that purity of purpose ennobles life and makes peaceful the hour of death.

The procession from the residence to Bethlehem Cemetery was memorable for the large number who came to pay the last public homage so duly earned.
