Death of Former Simconian

Mrs. Caroline E. Austin, wife of James B. Austin, died at her home in Washington, D.C., on Friday, November 26, 1915, after a short illness of paralysis.

Mrs. Austin has been an invalid for many years, but her death was sudden and unexpected.

She was born in Hamilton in 1846 and lived in Simcoe from childhood to her marriage in 1870 when she went to Washington to live, and has resided there ever since.

She was the youngest daughter of Samuel Garden, who lived in Simcoe more than forty years.

Mrs. Austin leaves a husband, James B. Austin, also formerly of Simcoe; and a daughter, Mrs. Fred Hager of Hagersville; and a sister, Mrs. James M. Hobbs, of Renton.

Interment was made in Glenwood cemetery, Washington.
