Death claims John Force

A very familiar figure in this community passed away on Friday last, in the person of Mr. John Force, the well-known market gardener, who lived just south of town.

Mr. Force was born in Colborne village, a son of he Norfolk pioneer Philip Force, and he had lived her all his life.

He had reached his 74th year, and until a few months since had enjoyed robust health and great vigor.

Early in the winter he was attacked with rheumatism and had since been confined to his house.

From a burly figure of 275 pounds he shrank to a weight of less than half.

Finally the disease struck his heart and he succumbed.

He leaves to mourn his loss a widow and five children: -- Clarence and Lorne, two sons at Leamington; Norman at home; Binn overseas, and one daughter, Mrs. Bruce Layman of Sheffield.
