Mr. Thomas F. Elms died at his home in this village on Monday of this week.

He was the eldest son of the late Frederick and Mrs. Elms, and was born in Port Rowan, where he always lived, and was 48 years old at the time of his death.

He married Miss Mary Clouse, by whom he is survived, together with a young daughter.

His mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Elms, with one brother and two sisters, also live to mourn his loss. They are Mr. Charles Elms, Port Rowan; Annie, Mrs. George Hodges, Port Royal; and Lilly, Mrs. Harry Atwood, Toronto.

Mr. Elms for some time carried on a successful business as a butcher, but on the adoption of local option in the village about a year ago he bought out the Central Hotel, and was doing well when the grim reaper called and would not be denied.

Sympathy for the bereaved family on their sad loss is very general. The funeral was held from the home on Wednesday, a large number being present. Interment took place in Bay View Cemetery, the Rev. A. W. Brown officiating.
