Mr. Dell

A very sudden death occurred last Friday afternoon when Mr. George E. Dell, painter and decorator, of this town, was stricken with paralysis at noon Thursday, just as he was going to work, and passed away twenty-four hours afterwards, never regaining consciousness.

Mr. Dell was [born] here in Simcoe 51 years ago, and was just in the prime of life. He was of a quiet, unassuming manner, and always had a good word for everybody, a good neighbor, and a kind husband and father.

He had served as a member of the Town Council, and always took an interest in the welfare of the town. He is survived by a widow and one son, also several brothers and sisters.

The funeral took place Sunday afternoon from his late residence, Head street, to Oakwood Cemetery, and was largely attended by relatives, friends, and bother Foresters, of which order he was a member. The floral offerings were numerous and beautiful, showing the high esteem in which the deceased was held. Among those attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Adams, and Mr. and Mrs.
C. A. Challen of Hamilton.
