Late James Cruickshank of Woodhouse

James Cruickshank passed away at his late residence, Woodhouse, on Friday night, May 12th, 1916, in his 72nd year, after a lingering illness, borne with great patience.

He was born in Aberdeen, Scotland, in 1844, coming to Canada when ten years of age, and settling with his parents in Port Dover.

Shortly afterward he took to farming in that vicinity, spending the remainder of his days following that occupation.

He was a member of Woodhouse Methodist Church and a Liberal in politics.

He is survived by his widow, three sons and one daughter, W. Herbert of Toronto, J. Arthur and G. Leroy at home, and Lillian M., at home; and grand-daughters Myra H. and Barbara E. of Toronto.

Also by three brothers and three sisters, George of Simcoe, William of Nanaimo, B.C., John of Big Fork, Ont., Mrs. Wm. Bannister of Port Dover, Mrs. O. J. Benedict of Vancouver, B.C., and Mrs. Wm. Woolley of Burford, Ont.

The funeral took place to Woodhouse Methodist Church on Monday, May 15th.
