Death of Mrs. Albert Corlis

A sad break was made in the home of Mr. Albert Corlis of Rockford by the death of his wife on Sunday evening, Jan. 9th.

Mrs. Corlis had not been well for some time and the week previous to her death was seized with an acute attack of pneumonia. Medical aid was constantly in attendance and kind relatives and friends did all in their power, but all in vain.

Mrs. Corlis had always lived in the Township of Townsend and by her christian character and amiable disposition had won for herself many friends.

Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. McDonald, and her brother Mr. Charles McDonald are now residents of Waterford. Mrs. Hendershott of Walsh, and Mrs. Hayward of Berlin are sisters of the deceased.

The funeral took place on Tuesday, Jan. 11th, when a large number of sorrowing relatives and friends gathered at pay a last tribute to the departed. The service was conducted at the house by Rev. M. C. Peart after which the remains were interred in the cemetery at Waterford.

Mr. Corlis and the bereaved family have the sympathy of the entire community in this, their time of deepest sorrow.
