THOMAS H. COLLINGS

Langton: Thomas Humphrey Collings of Langton passed away at his home on Sunday following a short illness. He was in his 87th year.

Born at Atherton, he was a son of the late John and Elizabeth Collings, and the 
last of a family of six, four of whom lived until more than 80 years in age. 
A sister passed away two years ago after attaining her 88th year.

Mr. Collings was a lifelone resident of the county and married the former 
Mary McKinley, who predeceased him about 10 years ago.

Deceased operated a general store at Langton for about 60 years, being active 
until a few weeks ago. He also operated several farms and a saw mill. 
He is survived by one son, Clayton, at home, and a number of nieces.

The funeral was held yesterday afternoon with a private service at the home, followed by a public service in the Baptist Church at 2.30 o'clock. 
Rev. G. W. H. Medley officiated.
