Mrs. Elizabeth Mabee, aged 78, one of the early pioneers of Middleton, died on May 2 at the home of her son James Nunn.

She had been in poor health for some time.

Her maiden name was Elizabeth Campbell and she had spent nearly all her long life in Middleton.

She was married twice. Her first husband was Benj. Nunn of Middleton who predeceased her thirty years. 

Of their family of six children, three survive. They are James, Benjamin and John, all of Middleton. She also leaves twenty grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. 

Her second husband, Jacob Mabee, survives her.

She was a member of the Bethel Methodist Church.
