Mrs. Artley L. Fick

Violetta Brown, widow of Artley Lewellen Fick, passed away at her home, Cedar Street, on Friday, in her 68th year.

Born near Port Royal, where her late husband conducted a store and post office for some years, deceased was a daughter of the late George and Laura Brown, pioneer residents of that district.

They came to Simcoe 30 years ago, Mr. Fick passing away in July, 1941. 

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. H. E. Beck of Sidnaw, Mich.; 
one son, A. Earl Fick of Simcoe; 
one sister, Mrs. Peter B. Fick of Port Royal; 
four brothers, Charles Brown of Port Royal, Roy Brown of Toronto, 
Lee Brown of Port Royal and Bruce Brown of Hamilton; as well as five grandchildren.

Mrs. Fick rested at the MacGregor Funeral Home, Simcoe, until this morning when the remains were removed to the home of her sister, Mrs. Peter B.Fick, Port Royal, were service is being held this afternoon at 2.30 o'clock. Interment is being made in Port Royal Cemetery.
