Waterford Old Resident Dead

Mr. John Bowlby, one of Waterford's oldest residents died on Thursday last after an illness of a few months, aged 81 years. He had been a resident of Waterford 34 years having come here from Woodhouse where he was born in 1840.

Mr. Bowlby was married three times. Of the first family two survive. They are Theodore Bowlby of Hamilton and Mrs. Annie Crooker of Detroit. Of the second family three survive. They are Samuel Bowlby of Calgary, Bert Bowlby of Brandon, and Mrs. John Walters of Waterford.

The sympathy of many friends is extended to his widow and family.

The funeral was conducted by his pastor, Rev. H. Wilkins, on Saturday morning.
