Death of Middleton Lady

Mrs. Peter Birdsall died at her late home in Middleton on Friday, March 5th, at the age of 85 years. For the past 53 years this estimable lady resided in the house in which she passed away. Her husband predeceasing her by two years. They had lived to see this part of Norfolk transformed from its pioneer stage to its present prosperous agricultural condition.

She was a member of the Baptist church, and the loving mother of five sons and one daughter. Four sons survive. She also leaves seven grandsons and four granddaughters.

The largely attended funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at two o'clock. Rev. W. F. Spidell officiating. After the interment, which took place in the Delhi cemetery, services were held in the Baptist church.

The pall bearers were Messrs. P. Quance, J. Crosier, A. Warner, E. Morgan, C. McCoupel and A. Smoke. -- Delhi Reporter.
