OBITUARY
Mrs. Harry Beemer

Mrs. Harry Beemer, a well-known and highly respected resident of Colborne, passed away at her home on Saturday morning, Sept. 28th.

Deceased was in her 54th year and was enjoying the best of health until a few weeks ago, when it was found that she was suffering from an ailment, which made an operation necessary. The operation was apparently successful and her recovery seemed to be assured until three weeks ago, when complications set in, and death ensued.

Mrs. Beemer was a daughter of the late Edward Moore of Townsend, but at the age of eight years, on the death of her mother, she was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Israel Slaght of Waterford.

She was a consistent and faithful member of Old Windham Methodist Church, being especially interested in the work of the choir, Women's Missionary Society and the Ladies' Aid, being president of the latter society at the time of her death.

Besides a sorrowing husband, she leaves to mourn her departure a daughter, Larelle, at home, a sister, Mrs. (Dr.) Geo. M. Dunn of South Haven, Mich., also a half-sister, Mrs. N. Porter of Simcoe, and a half-brother, Walter E. Moore, Tillsonburg.

The funeral was held last Monday from her late residence, Colborne, and was very largely attended, being conducted by her pastor, Rev. A. W. Shepperdson, assisted by Rev. J. P. Bell, a former pastor.
