The Late Jacob Anderson

Jacob Anderson died in Charlotteville at the residence of his son Elmer, aged 80 years.

The deceased was born in Vittoria, where he spent his boyhood days, later moving with his widowed mother and sisters to Woodhouse, where he spent the active years of his life, respected by all who knew him. He then moved to Charlotteville, where he live the remainder of his days. 

During his declining years he was greatly afflicted.

In early manhood he united with the Methodist church.

He leaves to mourn his loss four daughters and five sons: Albert and George of Woodhouse; Mrs. Wm. Budd, Mrs. J. W. Ralston and Elmer of Charlotteville; Mrs. J. A. Cadman, and Clarence, of Oxford; Mrs. Wm. Anderson of Petrolea; and James of Detroit.

He was married three times. His first wife was Mary, daughter of the late Moses Austin; his second wife was Julia, daughter of the late Philip Austin; and his third wife, Elizabeth Darling, who predeceased him seven years ago, and by whose side his remains were laid to rest in Salem cemetery.
