CAPTAIN "JACK" SLAGHT

Son of Mr. Charles Slaght of Charlotteville. The sad news that Captain Slaght had been killed in action was received by his father last week.

The dead soldier enlisted with a Western Battalion, but he was a Norfolk boy by birth. The family resided near Glen Meyer prior to coming to Charlotteville.
