The following is from a page 8 article on the Delhi page of the
22 Apr 1920 issue of the Simcoe Reformer newspaper.

The Late Stanley Sitzer

A large number from here attended the funeral of the late Stanley Sitzer on Sunday. Mr. Sitzer was a well known and highly esteemed young man of only 23 years of age.

Since returning from overseas he had not enjoyed good health, and a short time ago he underwent an operation from which he never fully recovered.

He was a member of the I.O.O.F. of Tillsonburg and this lodge took charge of the funeral, which was the largest ever held in Fern Lea.

The late Mr. Sitzer seemed to have friends everywhere, and when it was time for the service to commence car after car from long distances arrived.

The floral offerings were most beautiful and abundant.

Deceased was a prosperous young farmer, and will be greatly missed in Middleton.
