SERGT. JAMES HUXLEY

Sergt. James Huxley was killed in action in France on Sept. 1st. He lived prior to enlistment with Mr. and Mrs. James Earl of Charlotteville.

A special memorial service in his honour is to be held at Salem Methodist Church, which he formerly attended on Sunday, 27th October. 

Huxley enlisted early in the war at Simcoe, which he left from the Second Contingent under command of Lieut. Walter Forse.

There will be a memorial service held here on Sunday afternoon, 27 Oct 1918, for Private [sic] Jas. Huxley, who was killed on 1 Sep 1918. Mr. Huxley was well-known and respected by all who knew him.
