In Memoriam

Deepest sorrow is felt in the loss of one our former graduates, in the person of Louis McConnell whose sad death occurred near his home on the evening of 15 May 1928. 
Louis took part in nearly all sports and was very popular with all the students and teachers. 
The Monocle voices the sentiments of the whole school in extending sympathy to Louis' parents and family.


 









 
 

 

 
 
 
 
 

In Memoriam

The staff and students of Simcoe High School extend the most heartfelt sympathy to the wife and family of Dr. George E. McGuire, whose death occurred suddenly at his home on Saturday, 4 May 1929. Dr. McGuire was an esteemed and valued member of the Board of Education.

The Board of Education of the Town of Simcoe dedicated the plot upon which this tower is builded. Pupils and ex-pupils have inscribed this tablet to the glorious memory of the sometime students of the Simcoe High School who fell in 
The Great War.
