"Clubmen trounced 21-3 in first game of finals ... Orillia Lions display vast superiority over Simcoe Young Men's Club ... locals have 12 errors."

From the 25 Sep 1944 Simcoe Reformer:
"Clubmen lose final round in second game ... Orillia Lions win Provincial crown, defeating unveniles by score of 18-9 ,,, despite the lopsided score the local boys displayed an entirely different brand of ball than they did in the first game here."
