From his granddaughter, Jacki: We are pretty sure [this is] Maynard Franklin. Maynard was the elder son of Harry and Hazel Franklin of Port Rowan. His parents passed away in 1975 and 1982 respectively. His 18 years younger brother lives in Orillia. A life-long resident of Port Rowan, Maynard taught at Houghton Public School in the 1960s and 1970s then retired from teaching in the 1980s and started his own insurance selling business. He married Evelyn Vidler; they had two daughters. He enjoyed playing cards. Maynard, 62, passed away 13 Jun 1990 and his wife passed a month later.
