Alda Lavena Ashby was born 30 Sep
1924 in Hagersville,
the elder daughter of Simcoe Police chief George Ashby
and Ina Grace Monroe. She married John Dutton Watts
of Toronto on 13 Jan 1945 in Simcoe. In 1996 they lived
in Etobicoke. John died the next year.
