Margaret Elva Ashby was born 4 Aug 1926 in Hagersville,
the younger daughter of Simcoe Police chief George Ashby
and Ina Grace Monroe. She married insurance agent
Charles Frederick "Chuck" Thompson, 27 Jul 1946 in Simcoe.
Life-long residents of Simcoe, they had three children.
Chuck died in 2009.
