George Bruce Cowan Jackson was born 5 Oct 1925 in Simcoe,
the eldest of three sons of Bruce T. Jackson and Kathleen
"Babe" Cowan.

George graduated Ridley College and Queen's University,
served in WWII Canadian Navy, and married
Marion R. Alton 1951 in Waterford.

George worked in wholesale hardware in London, then
owned his own hardware store in Ridgetown for 20 years,
before retiring to Tillsonburg in 1993.

A fourth generation resident of Norfolk, George was a
long-time genealogist, a member of the Rotary Club of
Ridgetown and the Norfolk Historical Society.

George, 81, died 13 Jan 2007 in Tillsonburg, survived by his
wife, son, daughter, four grandchildren, and two brothers.
