From Lillian-Anne: Clifford Harold Slade was born 28 Jul 1928, one of four
sons born to Fred Slade and Gertrude S. Barber. Harold married
Lillian-Anne Polischuk 28 Sep 1950. A plumber and carpenter, Harold was a
building contractor and built 50 homes in Simcoe. Harold restored his
grandfather's Rural Route 6 Simcoe farmhouse to the 1887 period, then
built their current home on that site after fire destroyed the original
farmhouse. Harold and Lillian-Anne's son and family live in Waterford.
