student: John Lounds Identified by W.B., Christie & friends Confirmed 12 May 2005 by John Lounds
John is the son of J. W. "Jack" and Anne Lounds who operated
"Simcoe Foodateria" grocery store on Peel Street for many years.
John graduated a pharmacist from University of Toronto, 1953, and married
classmate, Joan Legate from Guelph. They worked in Brantford for
eight years then moved to Meaford, Ontario, their present home, where they
bought a drug store. They retired in 1992 and now winter in Florida. Their
son John is president of Nature
Conservancy of Canada and daughter Mary teaches high school. They have
six grandchildren.
