From Linda: Shirley was the eldest child of 
Ken and Iva Walker, and sister of Jim Walker. 
Shirley’s mother passed away when her 
youngest child was only two years old. 
Shirley became surrogate mother to her 
seven younger brothers and sisters. 
The family farm was on the Blue Line Road, 
just south of Decou Road. The house is no 
longer standing. Shirley passed away in 2002.
