From Linda: Mary was the only daughter 
of Fred and Berneice Smythe. The family 
lived on a farm in Doan’s Hollow on the 
St. Johns Road east of the Blue Line. 
Mary married an American, Dennis Goldsberry. 
They lived in Charleston, South Carolina 
for many years. They had two children 
while living there. They retired to Hamilton.
