From Ray: Les Rundle was the best umpire I ever encountered in 
my years of softball both in Canada and Europe. The players on the SYMC teams I was on always respected him highly, as did opposing players. We always were happy to have him for our playoff games.  
As a pitcher I got to know his talents better. He never called a bad game. He also coached the basketball team as Simcoe High School while I was there, in the first half of the 1940s.
