The Coal Saving Order

GAS TOWNS EXEMPT

Simcoe business places without exception are warmed by the burning of natural gas and it has been finally decided that the Fuel Controller's order does not affect them. The stores, banks, offices and all other business places here will be open as usual Saturday and Monday next. Our merchants are just as loyal and patriotic as those of any other town and were quite agreeable to a prompt compliance with the order when it was thought to apply here. No good purpose would be served by closing when it is found that it is not required.
