Getting Here
by John Cardiff

Norfolk County is a two hour drive southwest of Toronto's Pearson International Airport. From Toronto, take Highway 401 west for an hour to Cambridge, then Highway 24 south for an hour to Simcoe.

Or... Norfolk County is an hour southeast of London, Ontario. From the airport, drive south to Highway 401, east to Highway 19, south to Highway 3 at Tillsonburg, and Highway 3 east to Simcoe.

Norfolk's largest centre is Simcoe, Ontario, population 16,000. Simcoe is a tad east of the centre of Norfolk. Most of Norfolk is within a 15 minute drive of Simcoe. Simcoe is our choice of where to stay when you get here.

Depending on your ancestors, you may prefer to stay elsewhere, but your visit to Norfolk should proabably start with a visit to the archives at the Norfolk Heritage Centre at 109 Norfolk Street South in Simcoe.

Delhi is 12 minutes west of Simcoe on Highway 3
Jarvis is 12 minutes east of Simcoe on Highway 3
Waterford is 12 minutes northeast of Simoce off Highway 24.
Port Dover is 12 minutes southeast of Simcoe on Highway 24 and 6.
Tillsonburg is 30 minutes northwest of Simcoe on Highway 3.
St. Williams, Port Rowan and Long Point are 20-30 minutes south of Simcoe on Highway 24, or south of Highway 3 on Highway 59.
